Daddy's Day!

This was taken the night of father's Day. I was walking through the room, and I saw Peter and Aaron laying on the bed talking to each other.  They both saw me sneaking and taking a picture.  I try to capture their candid moments before they notice I am paparazzi- but I guess I am not as sly as I think I am.

Peter has rolled over for this picture! He is rolling all over the place!

He has gotten up onto his hands and knees, and he can kinda sorta crawl.  He can army crawl.
You see that Peter has his tongue stuck out? Well, he is going through a phase.  He is teething (3rd tooth just came in!) so he is constantly doing funny mouth/ tongue things. He is also obsessed with tongues. It doesn't matter if it is his tongue, or someone else's- He just wants to touch it. Kinda gross, but it's his favorite.
We celebrated Father's Day with going to church, banana splits, and family game night. It was a nice, quiet evening.

Look at his little faux hawk. You have to look very close since his hair is so fine and blonde.

This was taken about 15 minutes ago. Peter LOVED his bean burrito for lunch.  And everyone knows that a bean burro tastes better if you rub it all over your face, stomach, and arms first :)

7 Months and counting!

Just a quick update! Little man is 7 months old now!
When we go grocery shopping, we just give him anything to hold and then he is content. This week we didn't have anything handy, so we handed him the ad- and he demolished it!

For Memorial Day, we took a family trip into Hartville (our teeny tiny town with about 500 people in it) and read all about the Battle of Hartville in the Civil War. We saw the grave site of those who died in that battle.

Our garden has some things ready to harvest!! We picked some radishes...

Turnip and Mustard greens...

...and some Sugar Snap Peas...Only problem is those didn't last long enough to take pictures of. We ate them :)

Peter eats them too because now he has TWO teeth!

This picture was taken about an hour ago. I put him to sleep on his back, and he rolls over and sleeps on his belly. This is the first time that he put his little bum up in the air though. Last night after changing his diaper, I set him in his crib so I could brush my teeth. I came back to get him out, and he was fast asleep.  He had a LONG day!

I put Peter down on this pillow so I could cook (we are in the kitchen in this pic), and next thing I know, he is a couple feet away!  He doesn't crawl, but he rolls and scoots.

Peter still hates tummy time.  He is sooo much better than he used to be, but it is one of his least favorite activities. This picture was completely candid, but I just wanted to capture how Aaron will always do tummy time with Peter, and I think it helps Peter tolerate it just a bit more.

Aaron and I happened upon some family goals that we wrote 8 or 9 months ago.  One of the goals said "Have monthly family wholesome recreational activities".  It was Aaron's day off, and it was Family Home Evening, so we decided to go and have a family trip to the bowling alley!

Our attempt at a family selfie...

Someone took pity on us, and took our family picture :)
