Well...We have finally taken the plunge with starting a blog.
I have lived away from home for years now, and my mother never asked to see pictures of my smiling face while I was living out of state, but I have a baby...
and BAM...
my mom wants pictures all of the time! This blog is mostly to share with family and friends what is going on in our little world in the middleofnowhere, Missouri
This is how Peter looks today. He is 7 weeks young, and growing by the day. His Grandma King sent him this lovely outfit he is wearing and he is being our little male model and showing it off.
This is us Thanksgiving night (Peter's due date) after all of the festivities, with our three week old little man.
Look at that face!
These are cloth diapers. Crazy, I know. But I have always wanted to use cloth diapers for some odd reason. I actually kind of love it. I hear its better for their sensitive skin. Less trash. But mostly because it saves a ton of money. Call me crazy, but I would rather spend my money on date night or fun activities, or my mortgage rather than on my little man's bum.
This pretty much how Peter spent the first 5 weeks of his life...sleeping.
Now he is up and awake so much more, which has me so excited because I get to see more of his little personality.
This is Peter right after bath time, and this is actually his I-really-enjoyed-that-bath-face. He used to scream during his baths, so the faces he would make after his baths were anything but pleasant, but now he loves them...or at least tolerates them.
Grandma and Grandpa Hobbs came to visit, and Peter just wanted to eat Grandma's face. Yummy.
This is Peter's ONE MONTH YOUNG picture.
Remember how I said he sleeps ALL of the time? Well....
Don't let his stoic expression fool you. This kid knows how to smile now...he just refuses to do it in front of a camera.
Peter LOVES his Daddy. There are times when I try everything, and I mean everything, to calm that baby down...and nothing is working. And then I hand him to Aaron- and almost instantly there is peace and silence. Peter calms right down. Peter loves his Daddy Time.
Christmas morning as I was busily going about cooking and getting things ready for family to come over I happened to glance into the livingroom and I caught this gem of a sight. It made me just stop and appreciate the moment. These two make my world a beautiful place.
My nephew Cole and niece Violet visiting us for a week after Christmas.
Me and my little man :)
Life is good.
